As a fire source, you need to be careful where you place the propane heater. Remember to set it on a firm foundation, it goes without saying that an unstable propane heater can tip over and cause a fire. More propane heaters are equipped with a tip-over function but it's best to play it safe and have the heater on stable ground.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember to be safe with the heater and don't test for a gas leak with an open flame. That will not be very smart as you can see. Also keep the propane heater from other sources of ignition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On the Railroad Commission of Texas website, the Railroad Commission will offer rebates to buyers of propane heaters. The rebates range from $200 to $800.
